泣ける本
職場近くの書店で、こんな手書きのポップを見かけた。
泣いてください。そして、善と悪について考えてください。
あーまたアレですか。癒しとか感動とか、そーいうアレですか……と、ポップの下を見ると、そこには信じがたいモノが平積みにされていた。
正気ですか。
あれは「しまった読んじゃった」と思うことはあっても、泣くとかそういうのとは違う位相にある本だと思う。
よりにもよってジャック・ケッチャム。しかもその鬼畜ぶりが存分に発揮された『隣の家の少女』だ。『隣の家の少女』といえば、「読後嫌な気分になった本ベスト10」を語る際には外せない一冊だ。
しかもおそろしいことに、このポップが効果を挙げた現場を見てしまった。
これらとは別の本を買って、レジでお金を払いながらふと隣を見ると、なんとケッチャムの本を買ってる人がいたのだ。『隣の家の少女』に『ロード・キル』、さらには『オンリー・チャイルド』まで。しかももう一冊買っていた。……相田みつをの本を。
ケッチャムと相田みつを。もう、こんな組み合わせを目にすることは二度とないだろう。
有隣堂某店に対しては、貴重なものを見せてもらったことを感謝すると同時に、いったい何を企んでいるのか、と問うておきたい。
……まあ、『モンスター・ドライヴイン』で泣いたような人間が何を言っても無駄かもしれないが。

I used to be very excited to take delivery of this set. However, seeing the limited booklet and turning into my workout gear the DVD won't are employed in my Blueray player.
