受賞
桐野夏生『OUT』がいつのまにか英訳されていて、アメリカ探偵作家クラブ（MWA）のエドガー賞にノミネートされたそうだ(→http://www.nsknet.or.jp/~jkimura/edgar04.html)。
ほかの分野に比べると、日本はミステリに関してはこれまで圧倒的に輸入超過であったわけで、そういう中での「日本発」の成果として非常に喜ばしいことである。……なんてことは別にどうでもいいのだが、もしも受賞したら、桐野夏生は江戸川乱歩の名を冠した賞とエドガー・アラン・ポオの名を冠した賞の両方を受賞した、稀有な例になるわけだ。
